The Weather Data from Viby Norrviken is reported to:
- Main Page created by Weather Display Software
- Ecowitt.net (cloud) to be able to use the Ecowitt app on Android
- Temperature data from all sensors to the Swedish site temperatur.nu
- And to Observation Site at Met Office WOW
Weather Station Ecowitt WS69 / WS2000 Wifi gateway

As from Dec 2024 I’m using Ecowitt WS69 sensors with the WS2000 Wifi gateway (the combo is called WS2002). The gateway connects the sensors via 868 MHz and to Internet and the Ecowitt net to be able to use the Ecowitt app for Android and iOS. WS2000 can also be used stand alone with no connection to Internet.

I think WS2000 is a huge improvement compared to the old USB connected devices. Connection to the sensors via 868 MHz is very stable and also the Internet connection is working without any problems.
Weather Display for Windows

Also from Dec 2024 I’m using Weather Display for Windows, replacing Cumulus that was a very old software and no longer being updated.
Weather Display is highly configurable to your own needs. It uploads data every 10th minute to the my main WX page and also to the WOW service.
The last uploaded data from old Cumulus can be found at this history page.
Home Server Domoticz
Weather Display is installed on my Windows home server in a Mini-ITX chassi with mainboard ASRock J4125B-ITX. I’m using Domoticz for smart home devices connected to a RFXtrx433e. This also collects data from two other sensors (Viking remote thermo Sensor 433 MHz) located at shadow places around the house. The lowest values from Ecowitt station and these two sensors are then uploaded every 3rd minute to temperatur.nu.
I started uploading to temperatur.nu 2015-05-01.

Garmin Widget
I have developed a Widget for Garmin smartwatches with Connect IQ/Eclipse and Monkey C. The widget read weather data from Weather Display as a JSON file and creates a watch face like below. The code is present at:

History
Below is the history of my weather station – old hardware and software.
Second station WS2081 Aug 2020 to Dec 2024 and the end of Cumulus software

My second station was a Fine Offset WS2081 and was used from Aug 2020 to Dec 2024. As I had some problem with the USB connection and spike values in Cumulus I decided to start looking for new hard- and software. So this was the end for USB-connected stations and the very old Cumulus software. The old and last uploaded web page from Cumulus can be found here.

First station WS1080 Oct 2011 to July 2020
My first weather station was a Fine Offset WH1080 and was in used for nearly nine years. It used it from the start with Cumulus software for Windows.

It was installed Oct 2011 and was placed higher up 16/6 2013. 14/3 2015 – I moved it again to a new location on the house for better temperatur values.
2/4 2018 – replaced the wind meter hardware due to failure.
10/5 2019 – moved it again to a new mast (pole) on the house.
DIY Android Widget
I developed an Android Widget with Visual Studio, C# and Xamarin. It read JSON data uploaded from Cumulus and presented weather data as an Android widget.

Pebble smartphone app
To one of the first smart watches – Pebble – I developed an app that read JSON data uploaded from Cumulus and presented weather data on the watch face.
Unfortunately Pebble was shut down in 2016 and my Pebble Steel stopped working a year after.

Android app Hipster Temp
I have also used Hipster Temp. It using data from temperatur.nu.

Hej Lars 🙂
